National Youth Orchestra comes to Birmingham!

Subscribe to RSS RSSFriday, 25th June, 2010

This summer, Britain?s biggest orchestra casts its unique spell on Birmingham.

The wizardry begins with The Sorcerer?s Apprentice immortalised by Disney, followed by a deluge of dazzling colours in Julian Anderson?s 21st century Fantasias. Then dive into a whirlpool of dreams with Symphonie fantastique, brought to life by the magic wand of 2010 BBC Music Magazine Award winner, Semyon Bychkov.

On Wednesday 4 August at 6pm, start your journey at Town Hall Birmingham with free fantasy-themed pieces by the National Youth Orchestra?s talented teenage composers, plus a newly-created fantasia by local young musicians.
