Deaf Awareness Week

To celebrate Deaf Awareness Week, BID services, who work in partnership with deaf people and other communities, is hosting a musical extravaganza at the Deaf Cultural Centre in Ladywood on Friday 2 July at 7.30pm.

Special guests include The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of the City of Birmingham.

Why not come along and be inspired by talented deaf artists and musicians!

There will be performances by Ricky Ricardo? Hoye, who has performed with Danni Minogue; Deaf musician Ruth Montgomery, the first deaf person to graduate with a music degree who has performed on the flute with the world?s best orchestras; BSL poet Richard Carter, who comes from a showman family; Sign Song performer Jayne Fletcher, who has performed on stage with Ronan Keating at Wembley; and Integreat Theatre, a musical drama group for deaf and hearing adults.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Deaf Cultural Centre for this exciting, dynamic programme of music, poetry and drama.
